The Georgia Pediatric Program is a Georgia Medicaid program that brings skilled nursing and personal care support into the homes of medically fragile children — so families can keep their child home, safely.
A program built around the family, not the clinic.
GAPP is administered through Georgia Medicaid and the Georgia Department of Community Health. It was created to aid parents and offer in-home healthcare to children with significant medical needs, at no cost to approved families.
Instead of long hospital or facility stays, approved children receive physician-ordered care in their own home from a Medicaid-enrolled agency. Families stay together, and children sleep in their own beds.
Gentle Way Solutions LLC is an enrolled Georgia Medicaid GAPP provider. That means families can apply for GAPP through us directly: we gather the physician order and documentation, submit the application on your behalf, and stay with you until a decision comes back and care begins. Georgia Medicaid determines eligibility — our job is to make sure your child's case is presented completely and quickly.
Who may qualify
- The child is under 21 years old.
- The child is an active Georgia Medicaid recipient.
- The child is medically fragile and has a documented medical need for in-home skilled nursing or personal care support.
- A physician has ordered the care and signs the plan of care.
- The application is submitted through a Medicaid-enrolled agency — Gentle Way Solutions is an enrolled GAPP provider and can submit yours.
Our flyer notes the paid Family Caregiver Option applies to children between the ages of 5 and 20. Final eligibility is always determined by Georgia Medicaid.

Two kinds of care, one plan.
Skilled nursing services
RN or LPN care in the home: G-tube feeding and site care, tracheostomy and respiratory support, seizure management, medication administration, vitals monitoring and clinical documentation.
Personal care / personal support services
Non-clinical help with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, transfers, mobility, supervision and daily routines — the hands-on support a medically fragile child needs all day.
The Family Caregiver Option
A parent or guardian can be hired and paid by an approved agency for personal support hours. It does not pay parents for skilled nursing.

- 5Care beginsWe staff the approved hours, onboard a family caregiver where the Family Caregiver Option applies, and stay with you through reviews as your child's needs change.
